Terms of Service

By using GameDropz™ (the "Service") you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

GameDropz is a free, non-commercial video game release tracker. It aggregates publicly available release information from third-party sources (notably IGDB) and lets you build a personal wishlist that can optionally be synced across devices via an account. The Service is provided as a personal project, not as a commercial product.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 6 characters.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 15 years old (or have parental consent) to create an account.
You may use only one account per person. We may merge or remove duplicate accounts.
You can delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service in violation of any law or to infringe anyone's rights.
Attempt to access, probe, or scan the Service in ways not intended (scraping, brute-forcing, exploit testing, denial-of-service).
Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service beyond normal personal use.
Resell, redistribute, or re-package data obtained from the Service.
Impersonate another person or use someone else's email address without permission.

We may suspend or delete any account that violates these rules, with or without notice.

4. Game data and intellectual property

Game titles, cover art, screenshots, videos, descriptions, and metadata shown in the Service are the property of their respective owners (publishers, developers, IGDB, etc.). GameDropz displays this content under fair-use and the IGDB API terms; we make no ownership claim over it.

5. News content

News articles are summaries of public RSS feeds (currently IGN). Headlines and short excerpts are displayed solely as previews; clicking any item takes you to the original publisher's website where the full content lives. We do not claim ownership of any news content.

6. Service availability — "AS IS"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Release dates, prices, and other data may be inaccurate, outdated, or missing.
The Service may be unavailable, slow, or interrupted at any time without notice.
We do not guarantee that wishlist data will not be lost; please do not rely on the Service as your only record of important information.

To the maximum extent allowed by Czech law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

7. Third-party links

The Service contains links to external sites (store pages, news articles, official game websites). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Following a link is at your own risk.

8. Changes to the Service

We may modify, add, remove, or discontinue features at any time. We may also stop operating the Service entirely. If we shut down, we will make a reasonable effort to give registered users at least 14 days' notice by email, so they can export their wishlist.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version always lives at this URL with a "Last updated" date. If you keep using the Service after a material change, you accept the new Terms. For significant changes affecting registered users, we will also notify you by email.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by friendly negotiation will be decided by the competent Czech courts. Consumer rights under mandatory EU law are not affected by this clause.
